什么叫Hungry?
美國人不會用hungry來形容對于知識的追求。對知識，他們用的是「好奇」(curious)這個詞。一個求知若渴的人，叫做「intellectuallycurious」或是「eagertolearn」，但絕對不會是「intellectuallyhungry」，也極少是「hungrytolearn」。
用到hungry的時候，針對的「成功」，也就是「hungryforsuccess」。所以SteveJobs的「StayHungry」，根本不是叫你去求「知」的意思，他真正想說的，是要你去不停的尋找成功，永遠不知道滿足。為什么?因為創業者最常犯的錯誤，除了做出沒人要的東西之外，就是太快滿足于初期的成功，接著開始以為自己是神，再也不會失敗。
楊致遠就是最好的例子，90年代末期Yahoo叱咤網絡圈后，他開始陶醉于成功之中，成天打高爾夫球、旅行，結果呢?快轉十年之后，Yahoo現在的市值等于他們手中持有的阿里巴巴股票，也就是說這家母公司是一毛不值。為什么?因為他失去了hungry。

什么叫Foolish?
美國人也不會用foolish來形容虛心，虛心叫做「humble」、叫做「beagoodlistener」、叫做「beopentonewideas」。而fool，根本不是「虛心的人」，fool是「笨蛋」的意思。
